On September 12, the presentation of the children’s book “Mr. Pillow and Button Whale“ by Dariia Bila was held in Kyiv.
Invited star guests with their children attended the presentation. In the evening, the terrace of the Good Girl restaurant turned into a fabulous space with a soft photo area. The children happily flipped through the new book, colored the coloring pages, and put funny stickers with the hero on each other’s clothes. Author and illustrator Dariia Bila read the children a new story about her hero’s adventures. Finally, all the guests got books and their own Mr. Pillows, which both children and adults liked very much.
The Stories of Mr. Pillow is a book series about the main character’s adventures. Each story is a separate episode from Mr. Pillow’s life, introducing children to the world’s diversity, teaching curiosity and ingenuity, courage and purposefulness, kindness, and true friendship by his example. Mr. Pillow and his team’s mission is to create unconditional friendship for every child, develop children’s imagination, encourage them to explore the world, and be ready for its stars and monsters.
“Mr. Pillow and Button Whale“ is already the second story about Mr. Pillow. The first book, “Mr. Pillow and the Stars,” was issued during the russian-Ukrainian war and was not only presented at the international book fair, Frankfurter Buchmesse but is already loved by Ukrainian children, whom the author and her hero, aka Super Pillow, regularly visit within charity events. Each book series comes with themed coloring pages, so children can continue to dive deep into Mr. Pillow’s world.
Dariia Bila is a theater artist, author, illustrator of the children’s book series about Mr. Pillow, and co-author of the Sensitive Content art installation for the Book Institute.
